European Leagues

European leagues is an association of European professional football leagues that gathers 32 football leagues from 25 European countries. Since 2010, when it was accepted as a member, the Super League of Serbia has been the only representative of our region in the company of the most elite leagues in Europe. Through the aforementioned membership and the active participation of our representatives in the work of this organization, we fight for the protection of the interests of the Super League clubs and their equal participation in making important decisions for the development of European club football.

EUROPEAN LEAGUES – ABOUT US

The main objective of the European Leagues association is to improve and protect competitive balance in professional league competitions.

WHO WE ARE

European Leagues - Association of European Professional Football Leagues - is the voice of professional football leagues across Europe on all matters of common interest. European leagues represent the vast majority of club football employers in the European social dialogue for the professional football sector.
The European Leagues are an association governed by Swiss law, founded in 2005 with headquarters in the Swiss city of Nyon, continuing the tradition of the EUPPFL (Association of Professional Football Leagues of the European Union) founded in 1997.
It was originally founded by 14 members - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Spain and Sweden. Today, the association brings together 32 professional football leagues and club associations from 25 countries, representing more than 900 clubs across Europe.

VISION

To be the leading representatives of professional football leagues in Europe on all matters of common interest.

MISSION

Our mission is to promote and protect domestic national league competitions so they can help their member clubs perform at the highest sporting level in a sustainable and competitively balanced environment.
To achieve this, the European Leagues work in collaboration with football governing bodies (FIFA, UEFA and national associations) and public authorities across Europe through active dialogue, including with other relevant football stakeholders.
